During the last few weeks, I’ve had to make-up quite a number of models and many of them mentioned that they also use the same mascara that is in my kit i.e. COVERGIRL’s LashBlast Fusion. This is also the mascara that I use personally (which explains why it is in my kit!).
I started using this mascara when it first came out, and even though I occasionally drift and use others to see if they do a better job, I always come back to LashBlast Fusion (pretty much straight away!).
COVERGIRL’s LashBlast Fusion mascara really does a great job of thickening and lengthening your lashes. It is also reasonably priced (around $19), and you can sometimes find it on sale at either Priceline or Target for $10 to $13 (I take this opportunity to stock-up!).
There is a water resistant version of the COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion which I don’t like. I find that it is not very water resistant at all, and it also does not work the same as the regular LashBlast – it takes forever to build my lashes, and even then, I find the results to be quite average.
If you are looking for a good water resistant or waterproof mascara, I suggest that you try the COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume Blasting Waterproof Mascara (in the orange tube). This gets me through an aqua aerobics workout without any smudges and then I am able to take it off at night with my regular face cleanser. I also use this mascara on brides (you just never know if they are going to cry!).
A note to women who like to use waterproof or water resistant mascaras on a daily basis – be careful – they can really dry out the lashes, making them quite brittle. Best to keep this type of mascara for special occasions – definitely not for everyday usage.
