Choice is a short film written by Rachael Belle Myers who is a very talented published poet, screenwriter and filmmaker. I had the pleasure of doing the hair, make-up and special effects on the film, a beautifully written piece about murder, death and the choices we make.
The short film was shot over two days. It was the first time I work with this wonderful and talented crew, and it really was a pleasure being on set. I also enjoyed it for the simple fact that it brought my three loves together – hair, make-up and special effects. I got to prep Clint Facey (Tate) who played a morally conflicted man, Helen Uskovic (Beth) who played a femme fatale, and Mariana Matei (Hope) who played a beautiful corpse.
There was also some wonderful catering on set. Mariana (otherwise known as the beautiful shot corpse) really does need to start her own catering company!
I wish Rachael and team the very best with the film and hope it does extremely well on the festival circuit.
